As students and families plan to go on spring break over the next few weeks, now is a great time to engage people in a creative way, just as Town of Palm Beach United Way (Palm Beach, Florida) has done.
Town of Palm Beach United Way engaged their community by asking “How far will you go to Live United?” This past year, from May 12th to September 12th, they held their 4th Annual Traveling T-Shirt Contest. They invited donors, volunteers, and friends of the Town of Palm Beach United Way to send in photos of themselves wearing Live United T-shirts for a chance to win Live United gear, and they received entries from all over the world!
The winner of their 4th Annual Traveling T-Shirt Contest traveled to Cape Town, South Africa, which was 7,685.03 miles away from their office in Palm Beach, Florida!
This is a great example of a creative way to connect people with your United Way. Not only does it engage your own donors, volunteers, and friends of your United Way, but it will also grab the attention of their friends on social media. Consider coming up with a creative idea, just as Town of Palm Beach United Way has done, to engage your donors, volunteers, and community members.
