Love United

Today is the day to celebrate love and make those you are closest to feel special. Many people buy flowers and candy, and go out for a nice meal on Valentine’s Day. But, there also many people who go hungry on Valentine’s Day.

Greater Twin Cities United Way (Minneapolis, MN) is encouraging their community and donors to open their hearts and give to people in need this Valentine’s Day. Just $5 will provide two people with a hot meal at a shelter and $10 will show one family love with a nutritious meal. Through United Way’s hunger programs, gifts of $5 or more will provide food assistance to youth, families, and seniors.

When you arrive at Greater Twin Cities United Way's Web site today, this is what pops up!

This is a great way to get your community and donors involved on this day of love and caring. It reminds everyone that there are people in our own communities who are less fortunate and in need of assistance today, tomorrow, and the next day – and what better day to give from the heart, than Valentine’s Day.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
